Tribunal Visits
The next employment tribunal visit will take place in Manchester on 10 June 2008.
The visits commence with a pre-briefing on the day to outline what to expect, what to look for and to provide a framework of legislation so delegates get the most from the visit.
A pack of useful material is provided to support observations made at the Tribunal.
Our expertise ensures the most suitable tribunal case is selected ensuring a good balance of learning in the context of the type of case a client could face.
Typically Malcolm Martin will lead the visit. He holds a Certificate in Employment Law and is co-author of the CIPD book Personnel Practice and the Employment Law Pocketbook. Malcolm, and others who occasionally lead, is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
The progress of the case is reviewed at appropriate points during the day and especially over a sit-down lunch, which is included.
Wherever possible we obtain the decision reached by the Tribunal so delegates know the outcome of what they observe. Sometimes the decision is available on the day.
Who will benefit from the Tribunal visits?
- Small business owners and senior managers who need to assess the risk when they take employment decisions.
- First line managers and supervisors who may take the first definitive steps in any process. A number of our clients send all their supervisors on these visits.
- Personnel officers and HR specialists (often very experienced ones) who find that a visit provides essential understanding and greater confidence.
The inclusive price for an accompanied visit to the Manchester Tribunal is £105 + VAT per delegate.
